General Information
What kinds of problems can Eastern medicine help me with?
The nature of Eastern medicine diagnosis and treatment allows it to be effective with a wide variety of conditions, external or internal, physical or mental. It is most well-known in the treatment of many kinds of pain, but it can also help with the functions of various organs (large intestine, bladder, stomach, lungs, etc.), addictions, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), infertility, memory and mental acuity, blood pressure, dizziness or vertigo, and many other conditions.
For an example of some of the scientific support for one aspect of Eastern medicine, acupuncture, see this link: Evidence Based Acupuncture . (For the original 2003 publication by the World Health Organization (WHO) about conditions Eastern medicine can effectively treat, see this link.)
What is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and how does that benefit me?
501(c)(3) is a federal classification of a tax-exempt nonprofit community service organization. Basically this means:
1. Any donations or funding the HEAL Center receives is exempt from Federal tax
2. Donations made by you to the HEAL Center are tax-deductible.
So, you can help people and help yourself! Bonus!
How can I support the HEAL Center and its work?
The HEAL Center is supported financially through donations, grants, and fees for service. Often, the donations and grants allow the HEAL Center to reduce service fees for those in need. You can support the HEAL Center through personal donations, spreading the word about what we do, and recommending any leads to seek out funding. Your support is much-appreciated.
